The San Fernando Valley Gujarati Association ("SFVGA," "we," "us") provides the SFVGA mobile app ("the app") to share community information with our members and the public. We care about your privacy. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with information.
The SFVGA app does not require an account, does not ask you to log in, and does not collect, store, or share any personal information about you. We do not track you, show you ads, or sell any data.
The app has no sign-up, no login, and no user profiles. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal information. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers.
The app displays public community information — events, board members, resources, and youth activities. This content is delivered through Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), a hosting service provided by Google. When the app loads this content, Firebase may automatically receive standard technical information such as your device's IP address and basic request data, as part of normal internet operation. This information is handled by Google under its own privacy practices and is not used by SFVGA to identify you. You can review Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
The app contains links to external websites and documents, including the SFVGA website (sfvga.org), membership and donation pages, and shared documents such as our volunteer records and by-laws. When you tap these links, you leave the app and are subject to the privacy practices of those third-party services, which we do not control. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Some publicly shared community materials linked from the app (such as youth volunteer records maintained by the association) may list participant names; these are published by SFVGA as part of its community activities and are not collected through the app.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
